I posted here that I have always been creative and that I have done two great children's rooms...in my opinion, of course. A few of you have asked for pictures...
We moved Evan into a toddler bed yesterday, so I made a point of getting some good pictures of his room.
His room used to be our office...and it was decorated with all of my husband's Earnhardt memorabilia. Donald really wanted a boy so he wouldn't have to totally redo the room...his prayer was answered, hee!
Oh and WARNING: if you're not a Nascar fan, you may see this room as 'redneck'...this is as redneck as we get around here...I think...
These two pics are from the not-quite-finished project before Evan was born.
The border was already in place. My friend Marissa and I painted the walls white and created the checkered wall. I painted red letters for Evan's name and rearranged the rest of the collection around the room, including pennants, models and a Monopoly board. My friend Debbie and I painted a crib black...and it looked sharp. I also had a white glider rocker in one corner...I covered the cushions with black fleece.
Here is what we have today:
I have always loved Evan's room. It's bold. It's 'boy'. And it doesn't have to be changed as he ages, yippie!!
I'll try to get to Ella's room soon. :)

Very nice! I love the wall!
And such a clean room it is! Nice checks. Love that it grows up with the boy.
He'll probably hate it when he's older.. it would serve you right for not liking the moonscape wall that YOUR room had...hahaha
Cute!
And if you ever run out of stuff to decorate or paint at your house...call me...:)
I've got a list.
I'll serve calorie free ice-cream:)
