***Updated at the bottom***
Once again, hubby is on travel. And it's a doozy. He is on a plane right now, headed for Estonia.
Esto-who?
Estonia.
If you're like me, you're going 'Where the heck is that?!?!'
Estonia lies along the Baltic Sea, just below Finland. Tallinn, Estonia’s capital city is only about 40 miles south of Helsinki, across the Gulf of Finland. Sweden is Estonia's western neighbour across the Baltic. Russia is to the east, with St. Petersburg just across the north-eastern border. To the south is Latvia with its capital city Riga. You can depart from Tallinn's international airport and in less than two hours be in Helsinki, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Riga, Moscow, St. Petersburg, or Vilnius.
Why in the world has he gone so far away??
CISM Triathlon. Yea, I forget exactly what CISM stands for, but basically, it's an international tournament of a specific sporting event. This time, it's Triathlon.
Week before last, hubs went to California for the Armed Forces Triathlon, where his team competed against the other branches of service. The top finishers are elligible to compete at CISM...so off they went.
Estonia. I don't know much about it. So I googled it. It looks beautiful. If you have a few minutes, go see Estonia.
Their currency is call the Kroon. And the abbreviation for the Kroon is EEK.
I'm a dork so I find this funny.
"EEK...it's burning a hole in my pocket!"
"I'm not made out of EEK!"
"EEK doesn't grow on trees!"
Maybe it does in Estonia.
Oh, and by the way. This guy was on hubby's team again this year.
Why didn't I get to tag along on that trip!?!?!?
***I received an email from Donald saying that after terribly long flights, he has made it there safely.***

♡ That is a beautiful place! I've always wanted to visit Sweden and it's surrounding areas! So beautiful! EEK!!! Too funny!
If you don't accept that rose, I certainly will!
Man, the cool things we wives get to miss! Jer (while stationed aboard USS Shreveport) once went to Sychelles, sent me loads of pictures- good thing he remembered to write I love you in the sand for one of them. I wanted to cry, that place is beautiful! Granted the plane ticket just to get there would have been $2500, so I have to deal with just pictures. (oh, and a t-shirt)
What a trip!:) I ran out of Euros on mine.....so I'm sure the EEKs would have definitely burned a hole in my pockets.:) Tell him to bring a couple of EEKs home to show all of your bloggy friends...I have never heard of Estonia either.....I will look it up.
God Bless,
Amy:)
Okay first of all how fun! Estonia is BEAUTIFUL! Okay I have seen it in pictures through my fil but wow it will knock your socks off!
I hope they have safe travels and win!!!
Who is the guy with the rose? I should probably know, but I don't.
It's a shame that I didn't know that Estonia was a country. EEK!!Then again, I teach 5th grade AMERICAN history, not world history.
Mmmm, Yummy!
Did I just say that out loud?
Eek! I need some of that! And I'm not talking about the money either! LOL

Wow! That is a long distance to travel! I am glad Andy only goes a few states away.
Mm.. I want a rose!! ;)
Glad he made it safely! And for a triathlon? Wow.
Every time I hear of Estonia, I think of the movie "Encino Man"...that's where the guy was supposedly from. Why do I remember that? Who knows.
Anyway, good luck to your hubby!
