My hearth room...my new quilt...and my new friend.
My friend...she found me. Becky found my blog at some point and began commenting...very sweet words. I remember that she was always encouraging while we had our old house on the market...hers was on the market as well. We shared the 'stress-bond' of selling...yet we knew full-well that in God's time, we'd have our answers!
Sweet Becky is having a trying year...she could use your prayers...but she has a talent that keeps her busy. I visited her blog and what I found always made me smile. Becky can make quilts like it's nobody's business. I half-jokingly told her that she'd have to make me one someday...she didn't hesitate with a response of 'Sure, you just let me know when!'
I told her that I'd love something for the new house...something I could see cozying up to the fire with. I gave her my colors...which may seem odd...but they are chocolate and red.
She chose fabrics after I pointed out two that I liked...and she got right to work. I don't think it even took her a month to complete it! AND...she named it the "Chocolate covered Cherry' quilt. Love it!!
You may want to have a peek at some of her work...she has even started her own store!!!
So...now I'll show you pictures of my new quilt and the space in which it resides.
Thank you, Becky! You are mah-vulous, dahling, simply mah-vulous!! God bless you!
Ah...there's the Chocolate-Covered Cherry...
