It sure feels like Summertime over here!

It has been over 80 degrees for the past two days at least. I've been sending the kids into the backyard to play, but before long, I'll hear nothing but 'I'm hot. I want to come in. Can I watch tv?'

It's really the first time I've ever just turned them loose in the yard. I don't want to wish their little lives away, but when they get old enough to do certain things, it's just cool!

The house gets much quieter when they're outside. For those of you who know us personally, you know that my son has no volume control. I say it all the time, "If he could just tone it down, he'd be close to perfect." Seriously though. He is just loud. All the time. The dynamic of the whole house changes when that kid is outside...or unconscious.

You can actually hear yourself think.

You can have a conversation with someone without yelling. Even on the phone...

Bless his little heart...

Pretty soon we'll have to break out the kiddy pool...and refill it everyday because the water has gotten close to boiling overnight. Who likes to swim in warm water? I think that's called a bath.

Another thing we'll have to do soon...mow the lawn. Did you hear me honey? I said 'Another thing you'll have to do soon is mow the lawn.' Ahem.

I'm really glad that the warmer weather is here...I'm just not looking forward to the 'you could fry an egg on the pavement' heat. It's coming. No doubt.

I think we'll invest in a few extra water guns this summer...Evan's old enough to defend himself now.

Better yet, which of you fabulous people have a big pool to share, hmmmm??

I'm working on it. Don't be so pushy.

we have a pool- kinda. We have one of those large ones, that cost too much money...and we should have just splurged for a "real" pool. hm.. lol

Hey! You can always come for a dunk in the dam on our farm! You'll have to share the water with a few ducks and maybe a barbel or two. But hey? What's a fish scale floating in the water going to hurt? hehe!

Oh I know the feeling. Hayden is already saying it's "Hot". Get real kid & go play! I love when they play outside.

Well . . . you can always join us at the Y! :)

Our lawn peeps came last week, and I was SO glad.

I know exactly what you mean about the noise level. I have two of those who are just LOUD. Thankfully not all the time though. They actually love being outside, and I'm glad! :)

I am so glad that I'm not the only one with a LOUD child, that can be Joshua around here a lot of the time (though he can be unusually quiet at other time- like when he's sleeping!) As for the warmer weather- I'm liking it except for the wasps and bees.

We've mowed our lawn twice already! And, yes we've also had the 80 degree weather...LOVE throwing the little whipper snappers outside! Ok, so my 17 and 14 year old aren't so small, but at least they go outside to play basketball or jump on the trampoline. I figure I won't hear, "I'm bored" for another couple of weeks when they are tired of those activities!

I know someone who sits next to you in choir, and happens to be related to me, who has a very nice, very big inground pool with a diving board and slide...
I know she would love to share with you...

I wish we had a pool! Then maybe I wouldn't hear, "I'm hot! Can I watch TV?"

Love your Oprah thing on your side-bar.

I love summer, but I'm with you on the kids and their "hot" issues. I just want to yell, "suck it up" but.. oh wait, I have done that already!
I love the smell of a freshly cut lawn.
I wish we too had a pool. We are pool squaters. Have pool, will come.

♥ I love how quiet it is to when my kids are OUTSIDE! However I "almost" just "almost" feel sorry for the neighbors. But not enough to keep them inside!

I don't have a big pool but if you find someone who does have one, give me a ring and we'll all invade their back yard. ha!

We had beautiful spring weather last week - shorts, short sleeves. outside. I mowed the lawn THREE times in 10 days. It will need it again in a day or two. However, this morning IT WAS SNOWING!
