My sick day...

Mommies don't typically get a sick day. For some reason, the kids like to eat several times a day, their juice cups don't stay full and they like to play hide and seek.

But when mommy is sick, she doesn't feel like doing any of these things. Actually, she doesn't feel like blinking, much less pushing 'play' on the DVD player.

Super Husband to the rescue!!

Hubs is squeezing in some vacation time before he starts his new job, so he was home yesterday. He called three doctors offices until he could get me an appointment. He watched the kids while I went to the doctor. And he kept watching the kids while I took a 5 hour nap. (yes, five hours of glorious, uninterrupted sleep...but my head still hurts!)

I'm thankful for sinus cocktail shots...antibiotics...sleep...and mexican food.

But even more than those things, I am so thankful for my helpful, loving husband.

Thanks for letting me 'call in sick', babe! I love you...

He does sound like a keeper!

I'm sorry that you are not feeling well, my sweet friend!

I hope that you are feeling better very soon. And if you need any help watching your Frankly Scarlet purse while you are sick, just let me know. I mean, I know your hubby is great with the kids, but I just don't think he fully understands the attention that a Vera Bradley purse (in Frankly Scarlet) requires.;)

Just ignore me.;)

Big Hugs to you!
Amy:)

since cocktail shots? I may need some of those one day. And a 5 hour nap sounds a bit like going to a spa for me only less expensive. Funny what is so hard when we are sick (pushing the DVD button or filling juice cups) and what is so nice. Having a husband home for the day. Glad you got to rest! Hopefully thats it for winter!

Way to go hubs, for picking up mommy duty and taking care of things so she could get some much needed rest.

I hope you're feeling better now. :)
