Looking forward to 'Molasses in January'

Raise your hand if you've never heard that expression.

"you move as slow as molasses in January'

Meaning you're S-L-O-W.

Good Grief!

I am anything but slow these days.

Are you all feeling slightly overwhelmed by the busyness of the season??

I have stuff.to.do.

So much stuff to do that stuff's not getting done.

And it's my own stinkin' fault. My list is so long that there's no way it can all be accomplished in a day...I'm reaching for the stars when I get up each morning. This stuff just isn't going to happen! Defeated from the jump.

What is that Franklin Covey system? Are you familiar? Write a to-do list and priortize those things - 1 being most important. Is that it?

I'm not even sure if I could tell you what my number one should be, but there must be some place that I need to start!

This took all of five minutes to write, so that's not causing my problem.

I must find a way to keep my head attached.

I have a feeling that ornament hooks will not do the trick...

...or feel very pleasant.

I love that expression.
Nope I am not that busy because this season I did two things: I learned to say NO!! And I have bought everything online this year. I made the UPS man more busy than usual but hey I am sitting here in my jammies blogging :)

A friend of mine breaks things down in baby steps so she can see her progress. She also puts them on her calendar as the day they are to be done. It has worked for me. Yes, vacuum and dusting are written on my calendar and have their day!

Overwhelmed, uh... yeah... I am SO with you on that! I just wish I could wave a magic gift wand and they would all be bought and wrapped! Not gonna happen, is it?
