Ahem. I'm going to do it. Because I'm a good sport.
In Friday's Grilling Goodness, I posted that I had
the worst glasses, ever, as a child.
Leave it to some of you to ask for proof...pictures.
Agh....for real??
I'm cringing...
But enjoy!
First Grade - my first pair of glasses.
I believe they were E.T. glasses. Wonderful.
Second Grade - Same glasses...but I'm posting this anyway.
I never realized, until now, that I sported a mullet. Nice.
And the best of all.
The pair I had in mind when I posted Friday.
The exact picture that flashed through my mind.
The pièce de résistance...
What in the world!?!? There was four inches of EXTRA lense at the bottom. My little 'ol eyes only needed the top inch....good grief.
When you stop laughing...
...say something nice.
I need it today.

Girl we all have photos like that!
I had one that when I saw it, my reaction was "who let me wear my hair that way and think it was okay?" You know, I looked for the picture not too long ago and can't find it anywhere. I have no idea what happened to it...really... ahem...no idea!
LMAO!:)
(Note to self: Make sure to swallow coffee BEFORE reading Tina's posts.)
Tina, my eyes are completely filled with tears! You are SO funny! And obviously, I am not laughing AT you; I'm laughing WITH you, my friend. As you know I have a vault full of humiliating, fashion and hair challenged pictures of me. *sigh*
Thank you for starting my day off right.
You are lovely!
(((BIG HUGS!)))
Amy:)
You were still the cutest little girl in the school!
Love,
Dad
Thanks for the good laugh this morning, but really who doesn't have embarassing pictures? My mom let me CRIMP my hair for a school picture once and it turned out to be a FRIZZY MESS. And don't even ask, I probably won't post it.
Tee hee! I had horrible glasses too, but I have to say, I did laugh out loud at that last picture! Wonder why there was so much extra at the bottom?
oh my. oh my dear. Wow. Well...at least you learned something from that experience: Do not humiliate your kids with TERRIBLE glasses!
I never had the glasses but oh my the clothes and the hairdos!!!
I'm sure the guy or gal who invented the LASIK procedure had glasses just like that when they were a kid and vowed to never let another child suffer unnecessary ridicule and shame!
I love you anyway, but hopefully you won't need glasses that size when we're 80.
:-X
I had the same glasses and as my husband said to me..."The hubble space telescope people want their lenses back."
LOL. I love these pictures.
I had glasses too. Evil redish ones LOL. However, it is nice to have childhood pics. That way you can keep the memory.
I don't have any childhood photos except for two kindergarten group pictures. Other than that I have nothing. I think only one pic that shoes me on my horse when I was like 17 years old. But that's about it.
Well, isn't that special?
No, really. Didn't we all have a mullet at one time?
Laughing.....WHO ME????
That's so funny! I've had glasses since 7th grade and always HATED them! My first ones were "cat eyes!"
Fun post!
:)

Oh my those are some fantstic glasses!! I come from the bad hair cut as a child club too. You had the mullet I had the bowl cut.
I can't believe how much you look like your daughter!!
Tina, I think your childhood pictures are precious! I'm sure those glasses were the top fashion statements of the times. Way cute!
Love,
Denise
♥ Your kids look just like you! The glasses... They're just right for the time... Mine were similar. :)
Oh...Tina, Tina, Tina....LMAO!!! I sure am glad I wasn't wearing my Spanx when I saw this post. I'm just sayin' ;)
You're such a brave person...you would not catch me posting any of my younger, traumatizing pictures. My mom says she gave me a Dorothy Hamill hair cut but to me, it just looked short and messed up. Then there was the year that she rolled my hair with hot curlers and fluffed it (and by that I mean teased) for picture day. It looked like I had a fro - Seriously, I was all hair. But...you'll just have to take my word that these photo's exist because there's no way that I will ever post them. NO WAY!
LOL - Your little girl looks like you! Minus the very large glasses and red hair!
You are so funny. I needed a good laugh today! I had some big honkin glasses too. I might try to dig up some pictures. And...I have copies of Mindy's crimped hair that I could post. As for my bad hair, imagine a part straight down the middle and feathered...then glue the look down with some Aqua Net. Each side could be lifted by pulling up just one hair. Sad really : )
LOL!!! Sigh. I have some VERY similar school photos. Don't make me dig up some of MY old pictures of me and my eight-inch thick glasses because I will. Maybe.
Oh girl! I feel ya! I totally had some VERY similar to that. Thank God our children will never have to go through that!
P.S. LOVE your red hair! : )
P.P.S This just confirms how much your little boy looks like you!
Oh my gosh Tina!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is soooo hilarious!! But you were so cute!
I can't get over how much you son looks just like you!!!!!!
Of course I'm laughing...I had a bowl hair cut when I was little and might I add huge horse teeth! Gosh that last picture looks like Ella.
Just as I suspected... those sweetie pies at your house look JUST LIKE THEIR MOMMA:)
Your beautiful now!
