Five years ago today...part 2

Part 1

My first day of 'bed rest' was...weird. Knowing that I would never have to go back to work was so freeing...although I understood that I had the best, most important job in the world headed my way.

I felt really well. I still had feet like Barney Rubble, but I was free to prop them up while sporting my sweats if I wanted to. It was great!

I decided that I should prepare for my sweet girl's arrival by washing her clothes and getting them put away. I loved being in her room...I sat in the rocker daydreaming of her. I couldn't wait to hold her in my arms!

Other than the tiny laundry, I had a rather lazy day.

Who knew that daytime TV could be so mind-numbing?

I spent my first day of "bed rest" on a plane coming home from Wisconsin, where we had gone for vacation... fun. No nursery for me; I was told if I got up to get my nursery together, I wouldn't be needing it. That pretty much did the trick:)

Never had to do the bed rest thingy. So thankful.

doing laundry is more than bedrest!

Something about those tiny clothes and the someone that would wear them someday.

When I was on "rest" in the hospital before The Bean was born, it was about a week before they'd let me get up to do more than go to the bathroom. But after that, I just laid around or sat on the window seat and looked out the window of my room. It was a long 2.5 weeks, but I wish she could have "cooked" a bit longer! Oh well. It is what it is.
