We heard back from the sweet couple who saw our house Monday afternoon.
They very politely declined.
The wife left a very nice message on our machine that said 'We just have too much furniture for the space and we'd like to avoid having an upstairs at our age.' Very valid reasons.
She went on to say that they were 'very impressed with the home...it was imaculate...not many people keep house like that anymore. We will pray for the Lord to send you a buyer...and if we hear of anyone looking, we'll send them your way.'
This is rejection we can handle.
We felt fairly certain that they would not be THE buyers. But we enjoyed meeting a lovely, Christian couple...never hurts to make new friends, amen?
We are very pleased to have gotten an answer from them either way...something some of our others viewers have not had the courtesy to do.
So we're hanging in there.
We are still cooking up more ways to market the house...so we'll have more exposure soon.
God will send us a buyer...no doubt, in HIS time...

I'm glad they let you know, at least. That way you're not just hanging.
"We just have too much furniture for the space..." ????
Doesn't 'downsizing' involve getting rid of excess furniture?
"Excess" as defined by the fact that one cannot keep the furniture from a 4000sgft home and stuff it into a smaller one.
Well, rats... :-(
Ohhh, I will keep everything crossed except when driving and keep praying for you guys
God has the perfect plan for you guys. Hang in there!
Oh bummer. Good luck!
I have to admit that I had tears in my eyes for you. I really was looking forward to your post today thinking maybe it was your turn to get sold. I guess having our house on the market for four months now, makes me pretty emotionally drained and my eyes leak sometimes at the most inopportune times. I am still praying for our houses to sell. Hanging in there with y'all. Some days sure are easier than others!
I agree with you that at least they were courteous enough to let you know. I'll keep praying!
nice to meet folks with some manners:)
Hey friend.
I remember the days of selling. It can be so disappointing at times. It's nice they called you back. Very considerate.
Wow, that was so nice of them to let you know...the not knowing is crazy during the selling process!!!
