Out with Christmas, In with the New Year

Christmas has been all packed away at our house...oh how I miss looking at my decorations. I really had fun with those this year. (and I'm wondering why we didn't purchase a pre-lit tree years ago...oh right...the whole moving thing...anyway, that really improved the process!) The house looks like we just moved in...time to get some things on these walls!

Christmas was great. The kids have new, exciting things to play with...and we have room for it! Evan got a power wheels Mustang that I bought two years ago on clearance. I've just been waiting for the right time to give it to him. He and Ella took off down the street and had a blast. They're not bad little drivers! Ella got a new kitchen which she has room for in her bedroom, so she's loving that. With all the odds and ends, they were two happy campers Christmas Day.

I'm looking forward to 2010.

I'm not making resolutions. Those are always broken.

I do have things I want to accomplish next year....so I suppose I have goals...I just can't call them resolutions!

Our new pastor has challenged us to read through the entire Bible...a big goal I really want to accomplish!

I want to get the house put together...with everything in it's place. If it doesn't have a place, it's gone.

I want to scrapbook again. (that'll be HUGE!)

I want to lose weight. Again.

I want to go to the beach.

I want to go snow skiing. (highly considering a ski trip between Christmas/New Years next year)

And we'll be celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary in August. (a good time to go to the beach, right honey?)

I believe that 2010 is going to be a great year! Bring it!

I don't make resolutions, either... Because you're right, they are always broken! Your goals look great though! I need to take on the Bible challenge. I need to be better about studying the Word PERIOD. I might take on that goal! :)

I don't do resolutions either, they do get broken. Goals are way better. I would like to do the following in 2010:

Bible study - actually taking time for the Bible

Lose weight - I've got a lot of junk in my trunk and need to unload it.

Organization - I have several closets I would love to organize. Not to mention, the storage shed, I want to get it emptied so we can save that money each month.

I think that is it for now. Happy anniversary in Aug., what day? We celebrate 12 years on the 15th.

I have a beach near me!

J and I have been reading a proverb a day with you, and I would like to pick up reading the entire Bible again. Last years my eyes started glazing over after 1 and 2 kings!

I CAN NOT wait for 2010! It IS going to be a great year!

My inlaws go away for a weekend and goal plan for each year. They keep it in a journal as a record of God's faithfulness.
