Hated by a van...

"What?" you say.

Well...remember that mail truck incident?

Yea. I'm not sure my van has forgotten either.

As if Friday wasn't crazy enough, with all the birthday hoopla, the van put another chink in the armor when it decided that starting when I turned the key was optional. Evan and I were stuck at Walmart with a van that wouldn't start. Until Hubby arrived, that is. He showed up and it cranked right up. We switched cars anyway and he took the battery inside for a check up. It tested fine...they just cleaned the posts and sent him on his way.

Then, after church last night, we were on our way home...not far from home...when we suddenly had a flat. One of those with absolutely no warning....just FLAT. We pulled over, but didn't really have enough light to make the change. We decided to inch our way to a store...which was WAY further than it seemed like it should be, so we stopped again. And then...we remembered that we had BOTH left our phones at home. And so, there I was, on the side of the road trying to flag down a person with a phone. Thank God somebody stopped. I called my best friend Debbie because we live closest to her...only she didn't recognize the number and didn't answer or call it back when I didn't leave a message. We decided to send her a text that said it was me and that she should answer. Anywho, by the time we had Debbie already on the way, hubby figured out how to lower the spare and was well on his way to having the tire changed. Debbie brought me and the kids home and daddy followed very soon.

All that to say...that van hates me. I suppose I've started a domino effect of problems. We'd like to wait until the fall to NEED to purchase a new car...so I'm hoping a carwash and a good detailed cleaning will get me out of the dog house with the Toyota.

I think cars wait until the worst possible moment or circumstance to break down. I am not sure how they know, they just do.

Hope there are no further problems and you can hold on a little longer!!

I hope your car can hold out a little longer until you NEED a new one! They seem to have a mind of their own!

Oh I am so sorry. When things go wrong with my cars the first thing I do is cry.....that always makes me feel some better!
