It's a Gruesome Tale...

...isn't today the day for such a tale??
It was a cold, dark night...not really. It was a bright, sunshiny afternoon, ahem, yesterday, when a trip to the latrine turned deadly. All business was said and done...then upon 'the zip' there was a sploosh. The kind of sound you hear when a large rock is cast into a lake. Only this was no rock. And no lake. It was my 'not-so-unique-but-cute-to-have' pink Razr cell phone...splooshing into the toilet...pre-flush! Horrid!! I gasp. I might have said something like 'oh cr*p' (pun intended - even though there was none involved) and looked for SOMETHING, ANYTHING to reach in and retrieve it. I found a plastic bag, put my hand inside, got the phone and tossed it into the sink...where I rinsed it. This phone is dead. RIP. Even if it wasn't...I can assure you that I would NOT be using it again. It shall never rest it's pretty pink self next to my FACE again. Tragic. I am sad.

Fortunately, my old cell phone was floating around the house as I had given it to the kiddos to play with...like the other five floating around the house. I was able to charge it and change out the SIM card. It works just fine. But it's not cute and pink. I think I'll search eBay for a new Razr.

And...no, I wasn't talking on the phone while doing my business. It was in the back pocket of my jeans. The loss is not because I couldn't bare to end a conversation...only because of the convenience that having the phone in my pocket served yesterday.

The old pink Razr...won't be inherited by my children to play with...that would just be nasty.

Cute story - sad story - poor Razor. I've been known to put my cell in water, once or twice. Have a Happy Halloween - see you soon.

EEWW!
You know, we women never get enough credit for our strength and bravity! WHo needs the military when women will boldly go where no MAN has ever gone before!
I can't count how many times I have had to stick my hand in a toilet. Glad to know I am not the only one!

We do have a lot in common...posts about stuff in the toilet that shouldn't be....:)
But I think I would rather see a phone than a frog in the toilet.:)
Only because the phone wouldn't jump out of the toilet and scare me.:)
