I ventured out of 'Blog World'

I've met lots of neat people since I started this blogging stuff. Sometimes I get to know enough about them that I wish we could hang out sometime.

Late, and I do mean late, Wednesday night, I had an email 'conversation' going with my blog buddy, Noodle. We were talking about several things and at one point, we simultaneously sent each other a message saying that we should get together and let our children play while we visit. I literally laughed out loud when I read her message to me...funny thing about 'great minds'.

We really didn't finalize our plans until around 10am Thursday morning...and we were going to meet at 11:30! We decided to meet at Chickfila so we could have a yummy lunch and let the kids play in the playroom.

Noodle has already written a post about our playdate. I must say, I've never spent 3 hours at Chickfila...but it sort of flew by...Evan had a lot to do with that. That kid. Whew. He wears me out! In. Out. In. Out. He could not make up his mind about the playroom. He entertained everyone. Several people spoke to me about him. His hair. His energy. His food-snatching skills. You would think I didn't buy food for him. That's it! I take my kids out to eat, let them down to run around and graze off of other people's leftovers. Genius, isn't it?

Noodle's children are delightful...mostly because they weren't nearly as loud as Evan. Her son has a huge love of reading and performing card tricks - he brought his loves with him for me to see. Her daughter is a sweet girl who loves all things artsy...my kind of girl! Ella loved Miss Sass and talked about her all.the.way.home. We will definitely have to let those kiddos play together again soon.

I love having faces in my mind to go with the names I read about.

Thanks for meeting us, Noodle, we enjoyed it!

I remember those days well when my kids were little. It was so comforting to look in another mother's face and see "understanding". :)
It would rejuvenate me!
I'm glad you two met.
That sounds like fun.
I hate I missed the card tricks.:)

LOL! The grabbing food from another table -- CRACKED ME UP! I'm still laughing over that.

I cannot believe I forgot to write about the apples dipped in ketchup!

*shudder*

It's fun to put faces to names and to get to know the live person behind all the typed words. I've been in an email group for over 12 years and many of us have met several times. We are spread from one end of the country to the other... coast to coast and top to bottom.

Congrats on your spelling skills!
