Pony Party or BUST!

Let me tell you. This was the most stressful party situation I've ever dealt with. Holy Moly! This party was originally scheduled for Saturday...and we did this instead. Yes, it was fun to have snow...but it's wierd. We can't get a White Christmas...we get white birthdays in March!

(large exhale)

We rescheduled the party for Monday evening at 5pm. It was a pretty day...not quite as sunny as I would've liked, but at least the snow was completely gone and we only needed a jacket, not our ski gear. And daylight savings time, thank you. It's because of you that the kids had plenty 'o' time to ride.

My grand-daddy built a fire for us to roast hotdogs and marshmallows...and warm our buns. It was perfect. We had just enough hotdogs, but not a spoon to speak of...Donald someone forgot the spoons, so we had to skip ice cream and eat cake with our hands. But you know what? Who cares!! We had a fabulous cake made by my bestest friend, Debbie, and it was no less wonderful because we didn't have a spoon! Thank you, Debula!

The all -important pictures:

Thanks to my aunt Rhonda for arranging the party location with access to the horses. And thanks to my cousin Becca and her friend Jen who prepared the horses and wonderfully led the children around...several dozen times! This wouldn't have be possible without you! I love you!

Love the pics. Neat Horse cake. I know those take lots of work, and patience. Kudos to the artist!

I'm so glad Ella got to have her pony party!! I remember my grandfather taking me to the pony rides when I was about her age. Good times. :)

And that cake is gorgeous! By the way, it's best eaten with your hands, so no big deal that you didn't have forks. hee!
