Let it Snow, let it snow, let it snow...in July!?!?

Let's see. Where do I begin...
Ah, yes. It was a bright, sunny day in ...nah, whatever.
The other day, I caught Evan with something he shouldn't have. He made a small mess, but it really wasn't a big deal. I told him 'No' and took it away.
Fast forward about an hour.

I had folded some laundry so I was buzzing about the house trying to get it all put away. I went into Evan's room...started to lay something down so I could open his closet...when I saw this:

What in the world?!?! I thought to myself. I turned and walked out of the room to get the dust buster. On my way back into his room, I saw this:

And then this:

And I took a closer look:

And as backed out, I yelled for Evan and saw this:

If I had thought quickly enough, I would've put some winter clothes on the Little People that belong to this:

Or written 'wash me' on this truck...

What did I do instead??

I just laughed! And laughed. And laughed.

How can you discipline a child while you're laughing?

You can't. Or at least, I couldn't.

I thankfully noted that it was Baby Powder, not flour, or dirt, or worse. At least it was something that would make the house smell nice.

That kid. He came in and sat on his bed while I inspected the extent of his mommy-doesn't-have-enough-to-do-so-I'll-make-a-mess skills.

He told me, me, that I needed to clean it up. To which I replied, 'Oh no! You, my dear, are going to clean this up...or at least help me!'

He vacuumed with the Dust Buster for, oh, 1.23 minutes. Yea, not much help.

Little Stinker.

I asked him what he did and he said, 'I dumped it out everywhere.'

I asked him why and he said, 'Because I want to,' while throwing his hands up in the air as if to say 'duh, mother. That's how I roll.'

I asked, 'Should you have done this?'

He said, 'Yes.' I said, 'No!'

I sat there just looking at him for a minute...

He said, 'Well...anyway'.......

(((insert a snorting laugh here)))

Sure wish I could get the video to load...ugh.

I am in for it people. And I mean big.

If my two year old can make it snow inside, in July...what will my teenagers do??

Must go.

I have to do some research on padded rooms, teen boot camps and military schools.

That is so funny!
When my brother was a toddler he did this to his entire room..twice!
My mom freaked out...Baby powder was in all of the stuffed animals, in the closet, basically a white dusting over everything.

Come to find out, he thought he was helping....Because he had watched me and my mom numerous times as we "sprinkled" Carpet Fresh through out the house before vacuuming.:)

Let me know what you find in the way of teen boot camps....I've got two you know.:)

Oh my. lol He sure did make a ginormous mess! At least it smelled good. :)

We were watching the Baby Borrowers last night. They had to watch pre-teens. Steve and I looked at each other and I said, "THAT is the stage I am NOT looking forward to with Emmerson!" I just want to lock the door to her room until she is about 20. lol

atleast you can laugh about it. And atleast he kept it in his room.I bet his room is nice and clean, all the toys are wiped down (in case of any germs) see he was just helping you get his room all in order. So thoughtful of him.

Ah ha ha ha. I LOVE powder! Wouldn't this be the same as using that 'carpet fresh' that you sprinkle on and vacuum off? He knew what he was doing. Sniff. Smells better, doesn't it?

You are my kind of girl. Good for you laughing.

My friend has a quote that goes something like. If your going to laugh about it someday, why not today.

He sure is cute. Yes I think you have some fun years ahead. Ü

LOL!! This happen at our house also, except Luke covered Hope in baby oil before he put the powder, on her and her bed, chair, wall floor.... Maybe next week, Luke could give Evan somemore ideas.

What.A.Mess!
You're right, though. Powder is better than other stuff.
And maybe the padded room would be where YOU need to go.
