They have no idea how proud I am to say that I have someone in my family who has been married that long.
They have no idea how much I admire them.
They have no idea that I'd love to travel back in time to see the early days of their marriage.
Was it anything like mine? How did they fight? How did they goof off?
Did they have tickle fights, pillow fights and snowball fights?
Did Granny have hobbies, like I have scrapbooking, to do with her girlfriends?
Did Grand-daddy have card nights with the guys?
I'm sure they had stresses and hard times...
I would just love to know what it was like back then because now all I can see is love and respect.
One thing I will never have to wonder about...
The reason for the success of their marriage is God. Not some relationship book written by some PhD. They had THE relationship book written by God through men. They chose to put God first in their lives...both of them...and they have been truly blessed.
I'm striving for the same success in my marriage.
I'm so grateful for the example they have set.
I wish more families had a couple like them to look up to.
I love my grandparents.
I don't tell them enough.
Happy Anniversary, Granny and Grand-daddy, I love you!
What therefore God hath joined together, let no man put asunder. Matthew 19:6

Hi Tina!
For some reason my computer is not cooperating and letting me leave a comment on your blog, so I thought that I'd stalk you this way.:)
I just wanted to say, "Amen!" to your post.
What an awesome Godly example to have; it's such a blessing.
I pray that Shannon and I can leave that same legacy of love for our children and grandchildren.
