Ten on Tuesday

1. My daughter has been asking the meaning of quite a few words and phrases lately. Definitely. Exactly. Ruin. 'You have a point.' Lucky. I get all the hard ones. Nine times out of ten, she turns around and uses them correctly in a sentence. Guess I'm doing ok with the hard ones...

2. I cut the grass yesterday. Hubby cooked dinner. I saw this as a fair trade. Sometimes I just don't like to cook.

3. I've been working on a few more nap mat covers. I was in my sewing grove when the power went out for some unknown reason. By the way, this is the reason for #2 above.

4. You folks dished out some really nice advice about realtors. We have some research to do before we re-list the house.

5. I'm going scrapbooking Friday night. It's been a while. Actually, I don't think I've really gotten into it since my trip back in July. Slacker.

6. The kids were excited about going to school today...sure does make me feel like we've made a good decision. And being able to crank the radio in the 'kid-hauler', aka van, doesn't hurt either!

7. Tomorrow is the first day of Community Bible Study. I've gone the past two school years, but this will be the first year that the study is in the New Testament (Mark & Ephesians). I'm really excited! Having the 'homework' helps keeps me accountable. If any of you locals are free on Wednesdays, come join me at CBS!

8. How often do you change out your sheets and towels? Just curious.

9. Are you in a post-Olympic depression? I thought I would be...but near the end, I kept forgetting to set the DVR. I had to watch stuff in 'live tv mode'. I didn't enjoy it as much. And now, I'm just kind of glad that all the hoopla is over.

10. Evan is not my husband's child. In fact, he's not my child either. I think he's an alien. That kid ate every stinkin' onion that was pushed aside from within dear hubby's Fajita Nachos at the Mexican spot the other night. It was hard to watch. It was even harder to smell. Seriously, Evan-sugars still smelled like onions the next day. Blech.

Have a tremendous Tuesday...toodle-loo....

I strongly dislike when the power goes out....especially when there is no apparent reason.

I love to scrapbook, but I haven't done it in about 3 years or so. I guess that makes me a super slacker.;)

What radio station are you cranking up in the van?

I love Bible studies too.
I'm doing one myself at home right now.

I don't change out (as in buy new) my sheets and towels until they start to shred and resemble Swiss cheese.;)Or until Shannon mistakes one of our bath towels for a kitchen towel....that is another cue that we need to buy new ones.;)

But I change my sheets once a week when life is going along normally, but when recovering from back surgery, maybe not as often.;)

Happy Tuesday to you!
Amy:)

First, welcome to Twitter.

Second I am the one who eats all the onions--well also my husband but he doesn't like them if they touch anything else. :)

As in buy new sheets and towels or just get clean ones?

I am trying to decide whether or not to do a bible study in the Fall. I feel like I could do it but I also don't want to get overwhelmed. Time to pray I guess.

We use the same towel for about 5 days and I change the sheets every couple of weeks.

That's funny about Evan and the onions. Of course I didn't have to smell it! : )

I'm rather glad the Olympics are over too. It was fun, but exhausting! I can't even imagine how the athletes must feel =)

Onions - BLECH!!

I have mixed emotions about the olympics being over. Most of the time, I enjoyed them while they were on and now that they're over, there isn't anything on TV. BUT I'm still kinda glad they're over.

Fresh Sheets and Towels once a week - unless you're my daughter and you leave your towel in the middle of your bedroom floor each night so you have to get a new one every night when you take a bath again. UGH!!!! Will someone please tell her that I AM NOT THE MAID!!!

Have fun in Bible Study and Scrapbooking.

Good Luck with the whole Realtor thing.

We change our sheets and towels once a week. I will change the towels sooner if they start to get that musty smell. But I find that as long as I hang them so they dry each day, that doesn't happen.

Oh my goodness on the onions! Neither my husband or I like onions. I don't know what I'll do if The Bean decides they are delicious!

hmm so much to respond... hmmm...

sheets- once a week and we buy new ones when there are holes. lol

towels- once a week...and we've not bought new ones in about 7 years... so I cannot tell you when to buy new ones. HA.

Ohhh my Bible study doesn't start for two more weeks. I am itching for a steady study time! Have a great time at your study!

Sheets get changed every Friday! I buy news one every year or so. Towels--I hate reusing towels--even if they are a little damp it drives me crazy--so I just wash a lot of towels. We replace them when they get thin :)

I say the same thing about my 3 children who HATE potatoes--how are they my children???

isnt it amazing what comes out of their little mouths? Today my daughter asked me what was on her knee. I told her it was a scab and then she asked me what it was made of! LOL

ps, you have an award on my blog :)

Hey girl.
Glad I got to see you today at CBS. I have been looking forward to starting back ever since the kids went back to school. I am sooo happy to be back in the New Testament. When I got home today from CBS I actually contemplated getting a head start and doing my lesson. But I figured I needed to clean something, and watch an episode of What Not to Wear. I have DVR now, what can I say.
Anyway, I'm very excited about this year. And I hope we can talk more since now we don't have to sit with our core groups when we come into the sanctuary for the lecture.
See you Sunday!

Great post!! I get a kick out of your sense of humor! Thanks for stopping by my blog, great to "meet" you too!
I never remember to wash the towels...I think about it, and then laundry day rolls around and they keep hanging there.

LOL! Did the onions make them "Evan-sours"? :)

You are a riot!
