I partied hard on Saturday...

If you believe that...well...you must be a new reader!

I far-from-partied Saturday.

I decided that I was sick of the condition of my upstairs bonus room/office. It was really beginning to look like a dumpster threw up in there!!

Clothes...some that are too big...some that are too small...some that need to be washed so they can go to consignment...some that need to be washed so they can be put into the new winter rotation...some that need to be shipped off to an expectant mother I know.

Clothes. Can't stand to wash/rotate them. Can't live without 'em.

Paper! Lots of paper. I knew I was behind on filing our personal papers and whatnot, but I had no idea that I had just been throwing stuff into the drawer for a WHOLE YEAR. What a loser! I went through loads of paper. I made a nice 'to shred' box for stuff that had complete account numbers on it, but the rest of it I tossed in the trash. I definitely lightened the load around here. I got rid of a lot of old bills. I'm not sure if I need to keep those things considering that you can access nearly everything online these days. If I've paid it, the check has cleared, what's the point? (If you have some logical reason for me to keep the light bill, let me know before I make my way to the shredder!)

The attic. I even went through the attic to make sure there wasn't much 'junk' in there. I know exactly what size clothes we have in there for the kids to grow into. I have all kinds of tubs labeled and stacked neatly. It's not trashy in there at all. Whew!

I worked Saturday, folks. And I feel much better.

Things I still need to do:

- wash the consignment clothes
- wash the clothes the kids can wear now
- ship off some baby clothes
- box up the majority of Ella's summer dresses

Well, of course I still have the 'normal' chores to do downstairs, but at least when I'm upstairs working I won't feel as if the walls are closing in on me anymore.

What a treat!!

Happy Monday!!

Too funny! You go girl, for doing all that work! Feels great doesn't it? But.... I do not permit my friends to call themselves "loser". LOL... trust me, we all have "drawers of junk" in our lives. So yours just happened to be literal... I'm envious! :-)
Way to go friend!

sounds like what we've been doing this past week. There's still boxes to go thru in our room and a counter to clean off, school stuff to reorganize (again). It never seems to be done.

Come to Crazyville and HELP me! Our house has been taken over by clothes, papers, dust..you name it..we have too much of it!

I am trying to find a place to "start." Since my travel and back surgery/recovery nonsense....only the "essentials" like laundry, cooking, and dishes have been getting done. But I promised myself today..that even though I still cannot do a lot...I can do a little...So I am going to set a timer...and go for it.

But seriously, if you have some "free time"...call me.;) Scarlet and I would love to see you.;)

Big hugs and Happy Monday to you too!
Amy:)

Congrats on starting the project!! I need to do that with things, in the boys' rooms. I can't get rid of their clothes, but it's definitely something I need to work on! ah!

You've inspired me, though, so maybe I can get something done. :)

♥ Me too. Cleaning is not my favorite thing... :)

It's funny you mention all that cleaning because that's exactly what I did all weekend. No kids in the house and I was a cleaning fool.
Did all the laundy, folded and put it all away. That's an accomplishment all in itself for me.
I even had a hard time getting myself into bed because I was just on a roll with organizing.

I SO need to do some of this stuff too. Hey wait, now that you're done at your place you want to come and do it here now too right? I mean it made you feel so good and all, why not let that feeling continue? ; )

And now that you've finished...why don't you head on over to my house and help me sort through all of my ten years of things so I can stop looking at all of these boxes.

Just wait until you read about my day....you'll feel like yours was a walk in the park ;)

Way to go!!

Can you come over and help me out! Seriously, I'm getting scared of my bedroom and closet. It's taking over.
