The Sidewalk Outside is Wearing Part of My Son's Face

The thud I heard was not an old pumpkin being kicked off the front porch. No sir-ee-bob.

It was my sweet son's head hitting the sidewalk.

Oh.My.Goodness.

Poor boy. He picked a fight with the pavement and lost.

From his lip to above is left eye...he took a little beating...and of course, like any other boy, he wanted to go right back outside.

Accidents happen...you can't prevent everything...but that certainly doesn't keep you from feeling terrible when they arise.

And why? Why oh why do these things happen when it's time for pictures!?!?

I can either photoshop out the booboos or let them shine. A sign of the times, if you will.

I'll give it some thought...

Poor kid! And it really does happen right before pictures every time! Good thing he's got those big blue eyes that you can't help but focus on!

Aww...poor baby, er, big boy.
I say leave the booboos...that's a memory. We had one of our $$$ photography sessions for Pierce's 1 year bday last spring...of course he woke up with some sort of zit thing on his face...no one would ever notice it in the pic...but I SEE IT...just part of it I guess. I'm glad I didn't ask the photographer to take it out. Healing thoughts to Ev!

sometimes blogs have titles that you have no idea what they will be about. Today, I didnt even want to peek. Poor baby. Hugs and bloggy kisses for him. I hate that sound of their heads hitting anything. B&K both have big heads so its loud.

Hi Tina. Poor little Evan! His adorable face, all scratched up. I'll bet you hated it worse than he did. Glad he was tuff and went right back outside.

Love,
Denise

Poor guy!!

G got a huge goose egg on his head the week before his 12 month pics. Luckily it was mostly gone by the time we took them. It never fails...

Poor little dude! I think I know a little girl who understands exactly what that feels like too. That pavement is a losing battle.

PS. I hate that she has those scars messing up her beautiful face in the pictures that I took of her but I kept them in there...one day, those pictures will tell the story.

Poor Baby! Those accidents will happen!

I've photoshopped out boo boos in The Bean's photos before. I keep the originals as they are, but will photoshop out injuries if it's going a posted photo or one given to someone else.

♥ Poor guy! It always seems to happen at the worst times! :)

Murphy's Law! If you are about to have photos taken someone will ultimately mess up their face.

That's just the way it goes! lol

Poor buddy! What a day!

Bless his heart! Bless yours!

I would keep the pictures "real," because one day, you will look back and it has a story to tell...And boys LOVE to hear stories about how they got cuts, scrapes, and scars.;)

I'm just saying.;)

Big hugs,
Amy:)
