Getting this move thing started...

We've spent our last night in our first house...today...we're headed to the apartment. I want to be somewhat settled somewhere before the girl child starts school and this weekend looks better than next weekend as far as the schedule for moving goes.

Everything has come together rather nicely. The attic is completely empty. The playroom side of the upstairs is completely empty. The kids' rooms are packed up and ready to be unpacked at the apartment.

It's going to be a long day...but I'm so glad to have a bff who will be helping with the kids...and the unpacking! :-)

The home inspection is this afternoon. I'm really hoping that we don't end up with a laundry list of items to repair/replace. Hubs is optimistic...as always...we shall see.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

I'll see you on the other side.....

I cried for you. I know you laugh at me. But here is my reasoning:

It was your first home you purchased together.
It was your first home.
Ella was born there.
Evan was born there.
You learned to be a family there.
You scrapbooked countless hours.

I could go on but see, there is a slight reason you should be sad!

Awww...yes, kind of sad! But SO happy for y'all. Good luck today. The thought of actually moving and packing and all that stuff is mind boggling to me...guess we'll see if it's in the cards soon. Thinking of you!

moving is icky, but to be moving to the house of your dreams is a special treat. i hope that God gives you many wonderful memories there, that it is a place where all His children are welcome and nurtured and that those who cross the threshold will know that it is HIS house, and those inside belong to HIM.
what a wonderful new beginning (even if the beginning has to happen in an apartment. . . delayed gratification, right?)
many many magical days for you in your new home. may He richly bless your home

pinkexplosion,
I know just what you mean.
I cried when we left our first home. It was where we went from being a couple to being a family.
I still go back occasionally to see the tree we planted when we had our first child.

whoah...an optomistic husband. Where do you find one of those?

rthling,

I wish I had thought about planting a tree for my kiddos!

What a great idea.

We plan to build a home in the near future, and I think I will swipe your idea.

Thanks for the great idea!
