I really don't want to get sick....

But it might just happen.

What a weekend.

We've endured "Rain-fest '09" around here...it's very soggy. And as if the rain didn't get us down enough...now the babies are ill.

One ear infection and one case of the flu. The 'normal' flu, not the swine kind.

The girl child has the flue and it appears that we've caught it in the early stages...she's not miserable and hopefully we haven't contaminated anyone since we stayed in for most of the weekend. It's going to be a long week for us all, though. No school when you're used to going will be hard for her...and me. It's very hard to get your child to rest when they need to...any tips?

The boy child has an ear infection. I don't remember him ever having one. He never runs a fever, but had a nice one Friday morning so I took him in. He is on antibiotics and drops to numb the ear. He hasn't had fever since Friday so the doctor thinks he's safe from the flu.

But...he's bouncing off the walls.

Which makes me want to bounce my head off the walls.

I'm just saying.

Maybe I should follow the doctor's lead...he was wearing a surgical mask when he came in to see us.

I really don't want to get sick.
