Have you heard about 'Gold Parties'?
You gather up your old, broken, out-dated gold stuff...or something from your ex-so and so...and you get your friends together to make some money.
Convenient, money-making fellowship, I'd say.
I had a broken ring, a couple of broken, tangled gold chains, a few earrings without mates and a necklace that hubby wore back in high school.
I made $290!
There were girls there who made $650 and $470...and I left before a few of the 'big stash' girls had their turn.
You might be able to take your gold to the refinery yourself...but who ever does that?
I was excited to take a few things that were just taking up space in the jewelry box and make a little cash.
Soo.....I might host a party. As the hostess, you provide a table and chairs near a power outlet, maybe a little grub for the guests...that's it. And you collect 10% of what is paid to your guests. Not that the guests lose 10%, but straight from the gold buyers.
A party where everyone leaves happy!
With more money in your pocket than when you arrived!
It's a win-win in my book!

oooohhhhhh if you have one I want to come (maybe a little rude that I invite myself) I have lots of jewelry I need to just get rid of but I had no clue you could make that much. I figured $50 at the most. I even have some diamond earrings that have no matches! Sounds like fun!

I was invited to one but couldn't make it. Sounds like I missed out!
I didn't make it to the one I was invited to attend. And frankly, I didn't think I had much to unload. But I might come to your party, if it was on a day I was free, just to see what I can get for the little bit of gold I own.
BTW, what if my jewelry has stones in it? Does it have to be just gold with no stones?
Wow! What a great idea!
I want to go to one! :)
I have been invited to several but never able to make it, thanks for the hat tip . . .maybe I will make it to one one of these days!
I wanna come! I've got a little baggie with gold jewelry in it that I keep meaning to take somewhere but never have.
Gold parties are not so popular here in the UK but I would love to organise a gold party, sounds like fun.
