Recovering From The Storms

You are probably well aware of the storms/tornadoes that ripped through the South on Tuesday. No one that I know personally was affected directly...but there are communities that are devastated.

One such community is Jackson, TN. The home of Union University..."Union is a private, four-year, liberal arts, Christian university. In the last ten years or so, it has consistently been ranked as one of the best in the country, and is a school that truly achieves a balance in academic excellence and Christian commitment."

My friend Fresh Girl went to school there. She has done tons of research about the damage and posted fantastic information, and links to more, on her blog. Folks, this school was hit very badly. There are students who lost everything. The school is closed until later this month.

Please review Fresh Girl's blog.

The university's blog for information about recovery efforts is UURecovery.

If you can help Union University and/or its students, please follow the given information about making donations.

At the very least, please pray for the staff, students and families at Union.

I had heard about that on the radio. So sad. I went to Fresh Girl's site to check it out like you suggested. Was anyone killed?
